What is “atypical depression”?
As you notice through the news and papers, an employee with “atypical depression” is increasing at workplace, especially in young generations. Toyomi Sakai, Natural Resource EAP Consultant
Toyomi Sakai holds a Master of Social Work from State University of New York, Stony Brook and graduated Atomi University with BA of western philosophy.

After she returned to Japan in 2007, she worked for Advantage Risk Management where she was responsible for providing counselings and trainings for a variety of companies on various topics.

She has worked in various clinical settings such as inpatients' adult psychiatry, children's welfare institution in the US.

Her areas of interest and expertise include mood disorder, anxiety disorder, PTSD, sexual/physical abuse survivors, personality disorders, addictions, and cross-cultural issues.

She is a founder of ShenergyWorks LLP, Affiliate Partner of Workplace Options, and a clinical member of International Mental Health Professionals Japan.
