Upon the increment of mental health-related issues at workplaces, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) has been strengthened countermeasures for employees. The MHLW announced that so called “black companies”, which force the excessive working hours and ignore harassments, are listed and disclosed in public. Education on mental health at workplace plays an important role for creating a fair and supportive environment regardless of a type, kind, and size of companies. Training for managers and employees is a key to promote productivity and openness to the entire organization, as well as reducing workplace injuries and prevalence of mental health.
